about me
Bonjour,
I’m Mélodie Razaka
—mlo for short—
and I like confusing people with everything I do (in the best way possible).
I’m a multidisciplinary artist, poet, ceramicist, and cultural bridge-builder, constantly playing with food, words, and clay to spark connection, creativity, and community.
Whether I’m:
🍽️ Hosting immersive dining experiences through The Empowered Plate,
✍️ Crafting poetry that’s equal parts douceur & douleur,
🎨 Shaping colorful (sometimes wonky) ceramic pieces,
🌏 Bridging cultures through Japanese ceramic artists & Berlin/Paris galleries,
… my work always centers around identity, culture, and storytelling.
Born in South France with Malagasy roots, I’ve wandered between Japan and Berlin, collecting flavors, textures, and languages along the way.
As a neuroatypical eldest daughter (no surprises there, haha), I embrace complexity and create safe spaces for womxn of color, queerness, and in-betweenness—because l’intime est politique.
✨ My projects live in the beautiful chaos between art and activism, celebrating inclusion until liberation—and always with flavorFULL food.
Let’s make some magic together.
Pull up a chair. Stay a while. Here’s a hot beverage. ☕
